Red Matching Suit

I love love these outfits! It is my current obsession! Unfortunately my job is too casual (even though we are in fashion, we work in Venice Beach - the ultimate California Casual City) and wearing this to work would be silly. However, taking out the matching bottom piece and putting on a high-waisted dark denim skinny jean and chunky heels or lace up boots would do the trick. And someday I will find the right place to wear the matching suit.

Magazine Covers

Why do U.S. magazine covers not look as amazing as this? All of my magazines look completely alike! Same person on front (FYI - Gywenth is this months Vogue, Drew is this months Elle, Mary Kate is this months Marie Claire, ETC) always Cameron, Drew, Gywenth, Eva, Kate, ETC and always in the same boring pose, in the same type of outfit, talking about their most recent movie and their most recent stage in life. I want NEW interesting people in different clothes with different poses! I want someone other than the top 10 rotating actresses! The photo shoots are incredibly similar, with the magazines talking about the same trends and the same designers. I want something FRESH! Maybe they should look at their affiliated international covers for inspiration? Is anyone else getting tired of this?

Intimate Apparel

During the end-of-season sales, I've really been obsessed with buying new bra sets. I feel like it's so fun and girly to purchase new, pretty lingerie

My favorite brand for bras is Elle Macpherson Intimates. They fit me PERFECTLY, are super comfortable, oh so pretty and under $100 (as opposed to the amazing brand Fleur of England who makes gorgeous bras I want to wear, but I cannot bring myself to pay $200 for a bra, not including the panties)

Sunday Farmer's Market and New Shoes!

Every Sunday Joey and I stop at the Brentwood Farmer's Market - it's the best we've been to, they have the best selection on the westside and are less expensive than the market held on 3rd. I wore my new vintage finds!






I also purchased some black leather flip flops from victoriassecret.com for $19.98 - I don't know why it took me so long to buy black leather flip flops, I have been wearing them everyday! They are perfect because my plastic flip-flops (Havanias) are too casual, these are the perfect medium!

Brownies

I was craving a desert and picked up this easy mix at Trader Joes (I love Trader Joes), it's low fat and SO easy, you just add one container of low-fat vanilla yogurt. I also added some chopped chocolate (therefore eliminating the low-fat) and some walnuts. It turned out really well!

Shopping

Sarah and I got together to do a little shopping and studying for French.

Sarah's dress is such a pretty blue, H&M and her shoes go with everything, vintage find.

Thrift Store Finds

My favorite thrift store always has something great - these are my latest finds:

White cable knit sweater $6, cut off T $2, James Perse T-shirts for $2 each, and black canvas platform wedges $20



Amazing vintage leather draw-string purse for $10 - It even has tassels just like I was writing about yesterday! It's funny because Topshop is selling the exact same purse for $110, it has an adjustable strap also, such a great find!

Tassels

I'm completely obsessed with tassels right now - Ever since I found a gold metal snake coil belt with gold jewelry tassels at Club Monaco I cannot stop thinking about tassels! The belt was $70 and I didn't feel like spending the money for it at the time, now I completely regret it! I have been on the hunt for this belt/whatever looks similar, as Club Monaco is sold out, and I have been unsuccessful. But how fun is a tassel belt?

Dodgers VIP Style

Sarah was given Dodgers tickets for today's game versus the NY Mets by a client at work. The season tickets are at Row 2 Seats 1 & 2!


To get to your seats you first enter through glass doors located on the field level that lead you under the stadium into to a large bar, open (free) buffet of food and drinks, private bathrooms, full service restaurant and lounge. After passing through, you walk up a set of stairs to directly behind the dugout; present your ticket and an escort will lead you to your seats. And funny enough, directly behind us was Larry King and his wife! You are able to be served food and drinks (free of charge, except alcohol of course) at your seats.

I was soo happy to discover they offered vegetarian hot dogs! I haven't had a hot dog at a game in soo long, it was such a treat! I always complain about stadiums not offering vegetarian hot dogs, why don't they offer this option throughout the stadium!
